The Hen House sign

Basically, I've been getting food for me and my folks from time to time from a place called Ft. Logan Cooperative Ministries for about a year. One day a few weeks ago, I said I wished I could repay them for their kindness but all I could offer was drawings or something like that. The lady who runs the place (I can't remember her name at this moment) asked if I could paint a sign they could put in the window. The had just bought the old antique shop "The Hen House" next door and was using it to distribute clothing and household items to those that need it, and they decided to keep the name. I said that I'd never done it before but I could try. She told me what she had in mind, I did a rough draft on paper, she liked it, and as of yesterday, I finished painting it.

I gotta say, it's nice to be able to do something for these people. My folks would have starved a couple of times if it weren't for them. I just wish I could do more.
