Hail, Rhiannon, the Warrior Queen

Final Art. (Wooohooo!!!). Man, this one vexed me more than any other piece in recent history. A special thanks to my brother, Ed, for pointers and several reminders. I guess I'm still a bit rusty. Decided on Rhiannon for a name (a great Fleetwood Mac song).

Brief Summary of her story: Her father, King Gorvanal, was driven mad by a sorceress from a rival kingdom and almost declared war on his neightbors (elven, dwarven and human), which til then he had a cordial relationship. His sons were honor bound to follow, so his youngest child, Rhiannon, challenged him to trail by combat. Though the fight cost her an eye, she defeated the king. In his final words (his mind had cleared) he said "I'm so proud of you, my daughter...my sun....My Queen). After dealing with the sorceress, Rhiannon was declared Queen of her warrior-like people and re-eastablished ties with her neighbors. (one of these days, I hope to expand on the story and post it here).

The banner basically states the origin of her sword, The Starsword (it was forges from the ore of a shooting star).
